This is a message from Chester Water Authority. Those in the following areas of Upper Chichester, Lower Chichester, Marcus Hook, and Twin Oaks DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST. We are currently experiencing a main break. This is a precautionary measure – no contamination has been confirmed.
Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boil or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice.
We will be providing updates as soon as possible.
On March 26, a water main break occurred in the construction area of Route 322 at Cherry Tree Road.
Crews are actively working to isolate the damaged section of main and restore system pressure. Repairs may take up to 48 hours. This work may cause low to no water pressure. We will continue to provide updates and notify you when the issue is resolved.
