CHESTER, PA: – On September 6, 2016, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) expanded the drought watch declaration to include Delaware and Chester Counties due to low stream flows, declining groundwater levels, and a lack of precipitation. Under a drought watch, everyone is asked to reduce water usage by 5% through voluntary conservation efforts.
The Chester Water Authority (CWA) is asking its customers to continue their current conservation efforts and to implement additional ways to save water.
