Chester, PA – The Chester Water Authority (CWA) is pleased to join the Keystone Alliance to Stop Utility Imposters, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC), and multiple law enforcement agencies across the Commonwealth in promoting consumer awareness of the possibility of imposters posing as utility workers to gain access to personal residences. The Commonwealth’s House of Representatives recently adopted House Resolution 341 declaring the week of June 8-12, 2015, as “Utility Imposter Awareness Week”. This Resolution recognizes that there are far too many reported cases across the Commonwealth of criminals who prey upon unsuspecting residents by posing as utility workers to gain access to residences and rob homeowners.
