The Delaware County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers (PSPE) awarded Brian P. MacEwen the 2013 Engineer of the Year Award on February 20, 2013. Brian has over 30 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry. He has worked for the US EPA – Region III, two consulting engineering firms, and the City of Coatesville Authority (now owned by PA American Water Company). Brian has been with the CWA since 1999 where he initially was the Director of Capital Programs. In 2007, he was appointed the Director of Engineering.
Brian graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in civil engineering and later earned a Masters degree in civil engineering from Villanova University. He has authored numerous papers and presentations including; “Lead in Drinking Water”, “Interbasin Transfers during a Drought”, and “CWA’s Pine Grove Dam Gate Rehabilitation”. He is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and licensed water works operator.
